UX STRATEGY / UX Design / UX Delivery
I solve user experience problems for both users AND businesses — with a focus on solutions that fulfill the needs, desires and frustrations for both. I have specialized in banking UX, e-commerce UX. User delight within a CRO frame is how I like to approach projects.

THE AUTEUR DESIGNER AND THE UX DesignER
I'm a critical thinking, inquisitive, experimental visual designer who is now focused on user research-based iterative design practices.
I've been on a life-long meta-exploration of creativity. This is something that has often involved looking inward. It's also often involved comparative research. Looking at what other artists, designers, makers are doing and learning from them: in other words, Tropicalia-style cultural cannabilism. This is best described as a heroic, auteurist approach to making. Grounded in the self, it's a form of creativity that revolves around self-expression and self-discovery. It rests on the view, the assumption that the designer/artist has either inborn or cultivated special powers of insight. It's a way of making that can lead to interesting results. It's useful and necessary for certain kinds of creative production and discovery.
In opposition to this is another approach: UX design. It involves looking out at the world, at other people, not inward, at the self. It's an empirical approach to design. One in which the designer functions more like a scientist than an auteur. It's a design process/practice that's experimental, iterative and rests on user research. And after many years of looking inward, and practicing self-cultivation, this is what I am now interested in as a designer: being a scientist-designer. One grounded in reason and empirical observation.
